City of Hamilton Vintage Map Pillow

A genuine vintage-style linen pillow case with 100% down-filled, Canadian-made insert. The pillow case features a 'plan of Hamilton/Wentworth' from 1877. The map showcases the importance of 'Burlington Bay' and its many wharves and the Great Western Railway shop, highlighting the industrial commerce centre that the city was at this time. Cootes Paradise and its marsh are clearly marked. The various wards of the city are colour shaded and the age of the map is evident in the small imperfections. A charming vintage map!
